Abstract

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is universally recognized as the Messenger of Allah and the ultimate role model for humanity. However, beyond his prophetic mission, he also served as a loving father and grandfather, embodying the highest standards of compassion, mercy, and spirituality within his family life. This research explores the emotional and spiritual relationship between the Prophet ﷺ and his daughters (Banāt Ṭāhirāt, R.A.) as well as his granddaughters. The study highlights the Prophet’s ﷺ exemplary conduct as a parent and grandparent, emphasizing his tenderness, humility, and deep affection. Through a descriptive and analytical method, it examines narrations from Hadith, Seerah, and classical Islamic sources to uncover the Prophet’s approach to family life. It further sheds light on how his paternal affection and spiritual guidance nurtured his daughters and granddaughters, strengthening their faith and character. The research argues that this unique relationship not only reflects the Prophet’s ﷺ unmatched qualities as a father and grandfather but also serves as a timeless model for Muslim families. By presenting these aspects, the study aims to demonstrate how the Prophet’s ﷺ dealings with his household carry enduring lessons of love, mercy, and moral upbringing for contemporary society. Ultimately, this work highlights the Prophet’s ﷺ role in shaping an ideal family structure where emotional warmth and spiritual nourishment harmoniously coexisted.
