Education is the cornerstone of individual and societal progress, as emphasized in the first revelation of the Holy Qur’an: "Read in the name of your Lord who created" (Sūrat al-ʿAlaq, 96:1). This divine command underscores the paramount importance of knowledge in Islam. This study explores the reconstruction of a sustainable educational system inspired by the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), who declared, "Indeed, I have been sent as a teacher." The research evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of contemporary educational systems, identifying gaps in moral, spiritual, and intellectual development. It delves into the Prophetic model of education, which integrates ethical values, intellectual rigor, and societal welfare. The study highlights the Prophet’s (P.B.U.H) establishment of institutions like Dār al-Arqam and the Platform of Suffa as pioneering educational initiatives. It also examines Ibn Khaldūn’s philosophy, which links education to cultural and spiritual unity, reinforcing the Islamic perspective on knowledge. By analyzing Prophetic principles—such as the obligation of learning for all, the role of family in education, and community dissemination of knowledge—this paper proposes a framework for a holistic, sustainable educational system. The study advocates for aligning modern pedagogical methods with Prophetic teachings to foster a society rooted in empathy, resilience, and intellectual excellence, ultimately contributing to human welfare and spiritual growth.
