This paper presents a critical and analytical examination of the discussions on Prophethood as found in Madārij al-Nubuwwah, the renowned work of Shaykh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlvi. The study focuses on fundamental theological themes, such as the nature of Prophethood, the necessary qualifications for prophets, their distinctive attributes, infallibility (‘ismah), miracles, and the core objectives behind their divine mission. Shaykh Abdul Haq approaches these topics with a balanced methodology, combining authentic traditional sources with rational argumentation and philosophical depth. His exposition reflects not only scholarly rigor but also a clear alignment with mainstream Sunni theology. What distinguishes his treatment is his ability to communicate complex philosophical ideas in an accessible and intellectually engaging style. This analytical review aims to organize and highlight the doctrinal insights found in Madārij al-Nubuwwah, offering readers a comprehensive understanding of Shaykh Dehlvi’s theological perspective. In doing so, it also addresses many of the modern intellectual challenges and misconceptions related to the concept of Prophethood. The article shows how classical Islamic scholarship, as represented by Shaykh Abdul Haq, remains relevant for contemporary discourse and can provide robust answers to current ideological doubts. Through this research, not only does one gain a deeper appreciation of Dehlvi’s contributions to Islamic theology, but the study also offers a meaningful model for how traditional beliefs about Prophethood can be reaffirmed and articulated in the present age.
