The science of Dirayah (understanding and reasoning in Hadith studies) plays a crucial role in authenticating and interpreting the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Early scholars integrated Dirayah into Hadith methodology, ensuring that transmitted reports were scrutinized for both their chain of narration (Sanad) and textual content (Matn). This study explores the principles of Dirayah as understood by classical scholars, their methodologies for evaluating Hadith reports, and the role of the Companions (RA) in establishing these standards. The evolution of Dirayah as a separate discipline among later scholars is also examined. Furthermore, the research highlights the relevance of Dirayah in contemporary Seerah studies, emphasizing its necessity for accurate historical and theological interpretations. By revisiting the principles laid by the predecessors, this article aims to shed light on how the integration of Dirayah strengthens the understanding of the Prophet's (PBUH) life and teachings.
