Abstract

This study explores the portrayal of feminine leadership in the Qur’anic narrative through the lens of revelatory scenes featuring Mary, the mother of Moses, Bilqis, and Asiya. It examines how these women embody leadership that transcends traditional paradigms by blending silence with faith, and emotion with wisdom. The research delves into the rhetorical and spiritual dimensions of their stories, highlighting the Qur’an’s unique approach to presenting women as divinely chosen leaders who guide through submission to divine will rather than assertive authority. Mary represents a cosmic symbol of purity and divine selection, the mother of Moses exemplifies trust in divine providence, Bilqis showcases intellectual discernment, and Asiya embodies steadfast faith amidst oppression. By analyzing the rhetorical devices and symbolic depth in these narratives, the study reveals how the Qur’an constructs a model of leadership rooted in spiritual insight and divine grace. It argues that feminine leadership in the Qur’an is not about power seized but wisdom bestowed, manifested through spiritual alignment with divine destiny. This interdisciplinary approach combines linguistic analysis, Sufi symbolism, and Qur’anic exegesis to offer a fresh perspective on the role of women in sacred texts, emphasizing their integral contribution to the prophetic mission and human guidance. The study underscores the timeless relevance of these models in redefining leadership as an act of surrender, intuition, and spiritual authority, challenging conventional gender-based leadership paradigms.
