This research explores the jurisprudential aspects of dropshipping, a modern business model that has gained global traction due to its efficiency and minimal upfront investment. Dropshipping allows sellers to operate without maintaining inventory, outsourcing the storage and delivery process to third-party suppliers. However, this model raises significant ethical and legal questions from an Islamic perspective, particularly regarding the prohibition of selling items not owned and the necessity of transactional transparency. Islamic jurisprudence places emphasis on ownership and possession in trade, making traditional dropshipping practices potentially problematic. This study examines the permissibility of dropshipping under Islamic law, identifying common violations and potential rectifications. It also evaluates Shariah-compliant alternatives, including Musharakah (partnership), Murabaha (cost-plus financing), and Ijarah (leasing). These alternatives are analyzed to assess their compatibility with modern business needs while adhering to Islamic ethics. By juxtaposing conventional dropshipping with Shariah-compliant methods, this research offers practical insights for Muslim entrepreneurs seeking ethical and legally sound business practices. The study highlights the importance of aligning modern economic models with Islamic values, emphasizing integrity, transparency, and fairness in trade.
