The field of medicine holds immense significance in human life as it directly relates to health, well-being, and the treatment of diseases. In Islamic jurisprudence, medicine is not only acknowledged but also encouraged as a noble profession due to its role in preserving human life, which is one of the five objectives of Islamic law (Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah). This study aims to explore the ethical responsibilities of physicians and the rights of patients in light of Islamic teachings. It delves into the moral obligations of doctors, such as honesty, confidentiality, and providing the best possible care, while also emphasizing the patient's right to informed consent, respect, and equitable treatment. The paper highlights the balance between a physician’s professional duties and the spiritual accountability emphasized in Islamic jurisprudence. Additionally, the study examines contemporary challenges in medical ethics, including issues of malpractice and negligence, through the lens of Islamic principles. By integrating traditional Islamic values with modern medical ethics, the study provides practical recommendations to ensure a harmonious relationship between medical practice and moral conduct.
