This study critically reviews the accusation of Rafd against the highly reliable Hadith narrator, Wakee' ibn al-Jarrah (d. 197 AH), a foundational figure in the Six Canonical Books of Hadith (Kutub al-Sittah). Despite his status as an Imam affirmed by major Hadith scholars like Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, ibn Saad, ibn Hibban certain historical reports have questioned his creed. The research analyzes the isnad (chain of narration) and the content of these accusatory reports against the strong evidence of his widespread acceptance. The findings demonstrate that the accusation of Rafd is weak and unsubstantiated and is directly refuted by statements from Wakee' himself and reliable contemporary scholars, who testified to his correct beliefs. We conclude that Wakee' ibn al-Jarrah remains an authoritative and trustworthy Imam of Ahlus-Sunnah, and the charge of Rafd is not definitively proven upon scholarly investigation.
