Water is universally acknowledged as the most essential element for the existence and continuity of life, a reality emphasized both in the Quran and modern scientific research. This study explores the Quranic discourse regarding water and aligns it with contemporary scientific perspectives to highlight its centrality in the biological, ecological, and spiritual dimensions of life. The research employs qualitative content analysis of selected Quranic verses alongside scientific literature from hydrology, biology, and environmental sciences. It investigates the origin of life from water, the indispensable role of water in cellular processes, the hydrological cycle, and the significance of water as a divine blessing. The findings reveal that both the Quran and scientific studies underscore water’s vital function in the creation, sustenance, and continuity of life on Earth. Furthermore, the Quran provides not only theological insights but also practical guidance regarding the preservation, sustainable use, and ethical responsibility towards water as a sacred resource. The study concludes that the harmony between Quranic teachings and scientific understanding emphasizes the universality of water as a life-sustaining force. It suggests that contemporary societies can address pressing environmental challenges, particularly water scarcity, through the integration of Quranic wisdom and modern environmental practices. This research thus contributes to the academic discourse on religion and science while offering practical directions for the conservation and ethical use of natural resources.
