In the modern digital age, social media has emerged as one of the most influential means of mass communication, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries. Although it offers numerous benefits in terms of information sharing, connectivity, and awareness, it also presents severe challenges to moral and ethical values, especially in the domain of sexual behavior. This study critically analyzes the subversive role of social media in promoting sexual immorality. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others often promote content laced with nudity, vulgarity, and indecent behavior, which subtly influences viewers, especially the youth, by normalizing such conduct. This constant exposure to inappropriate content contributes to the rise of sexual deviation, moral decay, and social unrest. Islam, being a complete code of life, provides both preventive and curative strategies to combat such social evils. It emphasizes modesty, moral discipline, the protection of personal privacy, and the avoidance of unnecessary exposure to harmful content. This paper highlights the Islamic framework for addressing the misuse of social media, proposing solutions based on Qur'anic injunctions, Prophetic teachings, and scholarly interpretations. The study concludes that while social media is not inherently evil, its unregulated use contributes significantly to the spread of sexual immorality. Hence, a conscious, ethically guided, and religiously informed use of media is essential for building a morally sound society.
