This research paper investigates the concept of Arhāsāt al-Nubuwwah—the pre-prophetic signs and manifestations that heralded the advent of Prophet Muḥammad (peace be upon him). Through a critical analysis of historical accounts, prophetic traditions, and classical scholarly interpretations, the study identifies spiritual, natural, and scriptural indicators that pointed to the arrival of the Final Messenger. It explores the testimonies of notable figures such as Waraqah ibn Nawfal, ‘Urwah ibn Mas‘ūd, and Christian clergy who recognized these signs within the context of earlier scriptures. Key phenomena examined include natural elements like trees and stones greeting the Prophet (PBUH), symbolic dreams, his unmatched moral character, and the first revelation in the cave of Ḥirā’, all of which are viewed as components of arhāsāt. The study also highlights divine protection and angelic support granted to the Prophet even before his formal declaration of prophethood. The findings underscore that the emergence of Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH) was not a coincidental historical occurrence, but rather a divinely orchestrated mission anticipated across civilizations and religious traditions. These signs collectively affirm the authenticity, universality, and theological depth of his prophethood, forming a foundational element of Islamic belief.
