Abstract

Al-Qari Al-Muqri Muhammad Idrees Al-Asim (رحمہ الله) stands as one of the distinguished scholars and Qaris of the Indian subcontinent whose lifelong dedication to the sciences of Tajwid and Qira’at left an indelible mark on both scholarly and social spheres. This research aims to present a comprehensive study of his biography, religious services, scholarly writings, teaching endeavors, intellectual perspectives, and social contributions. The study begins with a historical overview of the development of Tajwid and Qira’at in the subcontinent, highlighting how Al-Asim emerged within this context as a pivotal figure.
