ʿAllāmah Ibn al-Humām (d. 861 AH) was a prominent Ḥanafī jurist, theologian, and scholar of Islamic jurisprudence. His seminal work, Fatḥ al-Qadīr, remains a cornerstone in Islamic legal studies, renowned for its depth, analytical rigor, and methodological clarity. This research provides a comprehensive biographical study of Ibn al-Humām, highlighting his academic contributions and the intellectual environment of his era. It examines Fatḥ al-Qadīr, exploring its significance, key distinctions, and scholarly methodologies. The study underscores its impact on Ḥanafī jurisprudence and comparative fiqh, demonstrating how it integrates rational discourse with textual evidence.
